Easy Runs Should Feel Easy
As your training builds, one of the most valuable things you can learn is what an easy, sustainable pace feels like.
For most of your runs, especially your longer runs or walks, you should be able to:
• hold a conversation
• breathe comfortably
• finish feeling like you could keep going a little longer
This is often called "conversational pace." It might feel slower than you expect, but that's completely normal.
Running at an easier pace helps build endurance and aerobic fitness, while allowing your body to recover well enough to keep training consistently.
Your fitness tracker can be a helpful guide, but learning to listen to your breathing and effort is just as important as any pace number.
Remember, you don't build fitness by pushing hard every session. You build it through consistent training over time.
The goal right now isn't to prove your fitness - it's to build it steadily.
